Foundry Day A private lunch with Iconic Meerlust Cellarmaster, Chris Williams
We are so excited to be hosting Chris Williams once again at Abingdon Estate. Chris will be giving us a personal walk through of his own award winning 5* wines, The Foundry accompanied by the brilliant cooking of Eat Out Top 20 chef, Constantijn Handiek.
The Foundry wines have consistently been rated as some of the top wines in South Africa, with the Grenache Blanc being rated South Africa's white wine of the year for platters 2018.
Chris will be presenting his full range which includes the Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Grenache Noir and Syrah, as well as a few older vintages.

We are so excited to be hosting Jeremy Borg on Friday 16th November. Jeremy will be presenting a full line up of nine amazing wines including his premium Pictus range.
Jeremy's award winning wines have won Silver at Decanter World Awards, 4 & 4.5 stars Platters across the board, Double platinum at National Wine Challenge and Gold at Old Mutual.
These will be accompanied by a light supper and the usual Friday evening fun! Cost of the evening is R180pp, of which R50pp will go towards the EWT for wild dog conservation in KZN. Time: 5pm -9pm

Staying true to its objective of enriching lives and supporting business success in South Africa, American Express was thrilled to honour this year's winners at the annual American Express® Dining Awards. Now in its 20th year, the American Express® Dining Awards marked the introduction of a definitive list of the country’s most exceptional eateries. Abingdon was one of nine KZN restaurants that were invited to attend a celebratory dinner and awards ceremony at chef David Higgs' new restaurant Saint in Johannesburg on the 8th October. Besides striving to recognise culinary excellence, the American Express Dining Awards also target those eateries that pursue new and exciting trends, thereby redefining existing notions of fine dining. Winners of the Dining Awards were awarded based on: consistency, quality, service, and food presentation.

Bubbles Launch at Hartford House We are having glorious Spring sunshine this week and have decided that it is perfect timing to launch the 2014 Bubbles! And let's do it in style at the gorgeous new Tijnhuis at Hartford House!
