Abingdon Wine Estate opened their very popular tasting room overlooking the vineyard in August 2009. Abingdon is a family business, passionate about wine, about people, the friends we make and sharing our produce with those who appreciate it.

Experience the unique character of KwaZulu-Natal’s pioneering wine estate through a guided tasting of our handcrafted, single-vineyard wines.
Wine tastings are available at R150 per person and include a selection of five estate wines, showcasing the diversity and quality of our vineyard.
All wines are also available to enjoy by the glass (125ml or 175ml) or by the bottle while relaxing at the estate.

Friday: 11:00am – 5:00pm
Saturday: 11:00am – 5:00pm
Monday – Thursday: Closed
As a small family-run vineyard, we are unable to offer tastings during the week. However, wine sales may be arranged from Monday to Thursday by prior appointment. We are often on the estate and will do our best to accommodate weekday requests.

Set against the backdrop of the vineyard, our restaurant offers a relaxed and welcoming dining experience that celebrates great food, exceptional wine and genuine hospitality.
On sunny Midlands days, enjoy harvest boards and tapas-style dishes overlooking the vines. During the cooler months, settle in beside one of our three roaring fireplaces and savour the warmth of the estate.

Lunch Service: 11:30am – 2:00pm
Thereafter, harvest boards available until 3:30pm
Open: Fridays & Saturdays, 11:00am – 5:00pm
Booking is essential.
