The cultivars planted are Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Nebbiolo. The soils are Clovelly and Griffon and offer good drainage, which is most welcome, especially when rain shows itself in summer. The wines reflect the cool slopes upon which the cultivars are planted and the nuances that these wines have lean to an Old World style. The uniqueness of this terroir can be tasted in the glass – crisp, fresh, elegant, with a keen minerality.
A courier charge of R260 per order is applicable, unless collecting from Abingdon (free of charge).
Abingdon will always endeavour to pack the wines as safely as possible and every bottle will be couriered with bubble wrap and extra support, however, we cannot take responsibility for breakages due to courier mishandling. To minimise the risk of breakage we suggest ordering bottles in multiples of 6 to allow full cases to be packed. Should you wish to use a different courier with glass breakage insurance, please email us directly.
