The day kicks off with a walk through the vineyard with Ian, the founder and winemaker of Abingdon Wine Estate, sharing his view of the 2022 harvest after plentiful rains. This will be followed by a cellar tour by Laurie, winemaker, educator, and award winning sommelier. Enjoy an afternoon in the most beautiful landscape, where you will satisfy your taste buds and nourish your soul.

Thanda bush weekend under the stars
6th – 8th May & 20th – 22nd May 2022
After four successful Abingdon weekends in the bush, the demand is ramping up and we will be doing TWO bush weekends in May 2022.
A unique wine experience in the bush with Ian & Jane Smorthwaite, owners of Abingdon Wine Estate and Laurie Cooper, Moët & Chandon Best Young Sommelier of South Africa.
Enjoy Champagne sundowners in the bush, a magical bush dinner under the stars and a five course Abingdon paired evening in the breathtakingly beautiful moonlit grounds of Thanda and of course, spectacular big 5 sightings.
